I run a Server 2016 domain at my home. All of the clients have Norton Security and Backup. Although, I don't know what to do with the server. It is currently running Windows Defender. Just wondering if there is something better that I could be using. Possibly free?

If this is just a domain controller..you probably really don't need anything more than Microsoft Security Essentials.  Anything else you are going to have to exclude so much anyway that you won't really be monitoring/scanning much of anything.

We have Sophos Server Advanced, and the only exceptions I had to make was the DFSR staging folders, and the only reason I made an exception was to keep replication fast and prevent double scanning of files. Finding a good product goes a long way in having excellent protection.
